“Amazing food and hospitality!”
Delicious food and great hospitality.  Highly recommended if you’re looking for a local experience off the tourist trail.  My lovely host Wayan first shop around the local market to buy fresh vegetables.  After we went back to the cook at the family’s traditional house where I and other guests learned to cook and enjoyed 5 tasty local dishes.  Thank you so much for my hosts Nyoman and Wayan for the wonderful hospitality!

“BALI PLATE”
Experienced traditional Balinese culture and religion and small things in their daily life was exceptional.  We learn about Balinese family Temples at home, they have twice a year, why they celebrate many festivals and so on.  Their life is simple and so eco friendly.  The warmth of hosting and tasty dishes gladdens my heart even today and is so nice to have joined this Bali Plate experience that I will not forget.

Amazing local experience
We had an amazing family cooking class hosted in a local home. Compared to other cooking schools there were just 2 of us with my husband, so it was a full learning experience. Must have this experience if you are in Ubud. The closest you can get to a real Balinese family. You can get to know their recipes, lots of new spices and leaves that they use, and a new cooking method.  I highly recommend and the taste of the food is just delicious!! We added the traditional market visit.  Choose this option in case you haven’t visited any local markets before, otherwise no new experience. Brilliant.

An incredible experience and the most delicious meal we had in Bali!
Putu was an amazing host from start to end! She took us to the market, showed us around and explained all our doubts. She was very patient as we had lots of questions and she gave us great cooking tips the whole time. She took us to her home, we met her super-friendlyfamily and together we prepared what was the most amazing Indonesian meal we had while we stayed in Bali. It was fresh, homemade, healthy and super yummy 🙂

You really must do this
What a great experience. Pak Nyoman was a gracious host and is fascinating to talk with. Delicious and authentic home-cooked Balinese food and memorable views from his gazebo across a lush open valley with palm trees and rice terraces. Highly recommended.  He also gives you a tour of his organic garden.  He even has nutmeg, cinnamon and all the spices growing, as well as local fruit and a prolific vegetable plot.

Greatest Balinese home cooking ever
We had a great time with friends and the most amazing thing for us was the hospitality, tradition outdoor kitchen and amazing food. We can’t wait to bring another team of my corporate clients

German TV visits
Amazing food and today a German TV production unit visited. I got to eat German food and Putus 8-hr slow cooked (traditional wood-fired oven) chicken dish. What a fantastic experience. I have been to Putus three times. Every time I love it – the peaceful gardens, the exquisite food, being part of Putus family and visiting a Balinese village. It is such a great experience. Amazing!!!

An Authentic, Wholesome, Delicious Experience !
The workshop was very well organized, pick-up and drop-off included. We were six people from Roam co. Ubud, and had an incredibly enriching experience that evening. Putu and Wayan and their family were wonderful hosts in their home which they graciously invited us into. We learned some valuable and authentic cooking techniques and it was highly satisfying to eat the food we had cooked together. We left with full hearts and bellies, I will definitely book another workshop with them again soon!

Authentic Bali family cocking class
We get picked up very punctual by our host Puttu. Together we drove out of town to her small and calm village. Over there, the whole family warmly welcomes us with flowers and coconuts. After showing us her home, house tempel and garden we started to prepare the dinner with Puttu, her sister and mother in law. All was well prepared and we cooked six different typical balinesian dishes. All of them were really yummy! We have really enjoyed the evening. After we ate together with her and her family, she offer us coffe and tea while chatting about the daily life in Bali. Afterwards, Putta dropped us back at our hotel! This cooking class was one of our best experiences in Bali! Just do it!

Wonderful cultural experience
What a wonderful evening at Pak Nyomans family home. Delicious traditional cuisine in a stunning setting. The concept of a Balinese family cooking for you in their traditional home is something special and an authentic way to experience the local culture. Even though we spend much of the year in Bali we learnt a lot we didn’t know about Bali and its traditions. We walked through Pak Nyomans organic garden to reach the bale where we ate and that overlooks a spectacular river valley. Nyoman catered for our groups different dietary preferences and there was plenty for all. It was a memorable night and highly recommended if you want to see the real Bali!

I had one of the best dinners in my life – great food, atmosphere, learned a lot.. And it was with the main ingredient – with love. We was diving to Baliness family life – made offering, cooked together, enjoyed time to share stories and thank. Big thank for the organization and I want to join again!

Fantastic, One of a Kind Night!!!!!
What fun! Though I’d heard a lot about it, this was my first time trying this idea out.. We were picked up at 5: 30 PM and taken up the mountain 20 minutes outside Ubud to a Balinese family home, in cooler Tampak Siring. The compound was completely authentic ( I have lived here for 12 years so know a bit about the culture) but every effort had been made to ensure Western cleanliness standards were met in the kitchen and bathroom. There was a lovely dinner table set up for us and we sipped on coconut water while the 6 of us wandered in and out of the kitchen joining in the cooking and learning how to make offerings. Ketut and Kadek could not have been more welcoming and their whole family including their 7 year old and grand dad joined in the cooking.
The experience was so delightful, I didn’t care about the quality of the food, but to my huge surprise IT WAS SOME OF THE BEST BALINESE FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!
This is great fun to do if you are traveling or if you live in Ubud and are tired of the same-same food experiences. Ticks all the boxes! Authentic, surprising, sweet, well done!
